About Us
The Ohio Municipal Clerks Association advances the municipal clerk profession through education, networking, and mentoring, which establishes clerks as experts in their field and leaders in the communities they serve.
It is the vision of the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association to improve efficiency, productivity, communication and a zeal for knowledge and information to build a network between clerks and maintain a distinctive professional organization combining our history and building toward a vibrant future.
The purpose of the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association is:
- To promote a better understanding of the official duties and obligations of Municipal Clerks.
- To promote the cause of good government in municipalities, county and State.
- To advance the fullest measure of home rule in local government.
- To cooperate with the Ohio Municipal League and other organizations dedicated to the improvement of municipal affairs.
- To develop a better spirit of cooperation among the members.
- To enhance the image and role of municipal clerks in municipal government.
The Executive Committee consists of the Officers and the Board of Directors. The Officers of the OMCA consist of:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Immediate Past President
The Board of Directors consists of 12 individuals, six who represent members cities and six who represented member villages. All Directors must have at least two years' experience in active service and hold membership in OMCA for at least two years.
